Our History
Mr. Ali Ahmed Yateem
Founded in 1910 in Bahrain by the Late Mr. Ali Ahmed Yateem, Yateem Optician is the 1st Optical Establishment and the only one which can claim a century old existence in the Middle East.
Mr. Nasser Abdulla Yateem
1971 was a major year in the history of Yateem Optician. Mr. Nasser Abdulla Yateem who had joined the business by that time, under the guidance of Mr.Ali Abdulla Yateem, the eldest son, ventured out to tap the U.A.E market and opened the first retail optical showroom in Abu Dhabi and the rest as they say, is history.
Occhiali Brand
1989, realizing the changing trends in optical fashion, Yateem Group introduced its Occhialli Brand of stores with fashionable and trendy eye wear catering to the needs to its young and style conscious customers. Currently with 6 stores in Gulf, we are eager to expand keeping up pace with the region’s development plan.
